((It’s all going to be ok))

I keep listening to Summer’s words in the bar that night,
“Yes, you’re going to be OK. It doesn’t matter what happens, you will be OK.”
All I could think about was how I thought she wore glasses in high school
and how we were the only seniors in the chemistry class I was retaking because
I got a D. I got an A+ the second time. Why don’t I do things right the first time?
How come I feel like the world is spinning faster than I can keep up with?
I need a nap. I need a pillow. I need to lay in the grass and feel sunshine.
I’m waiting for summer to tell me I’m going to be ok.

All you really need to know is

All you really need to know is

I went driving last night to get away from you.
Five minutes down the road
I realized you weren’t behind me,
you were a notion in my head.

I tried to find a road to turn around on,
but the side streets along the way were compact
I couldn’t see any entry until I passed.

I crossed railroad tracks and turned
into a lot of a crumpled grocery.
It was the type of store that was only
as big as your arms can stretch
where the ceilings run low and the lighting
causes fog to cascade in memories.

I let my car rest in a space,
as I stared out the moon roof.
Cold air brushed my cheeks
and fluttered my hair along my face.

The city smog covered awakened stars
and sorrowed moon beams.

The radio sang about waking up next to you
to your skin.
I want to smell your skin, I bet
it smells like approaching rain.

Butterflies and Snow Swirls

I was sitting under a tree today and the wind started to blow. At that moment, there was a school of children aged around three and four walking by. The wind blew the small white flower petals off the tree and they went flying up in a burst. The petals surrounded me, swirling and caught in my hair. The children saw the petals dancing through the air and one young boy stepped away from the crowd and yelled, “Look, look! Look at all the butterflies.” While another child chimed, “It looks like snow!.”

.:Lately:.

Hello what faithful readers are left. I know I’ve been very absent and for that I am regretful. I’ve been very busy with the semester coming to a close in the next couple of weeks, with new sports Joshua and I have taken a liking too and with the quitting and slow start of my new job. I’ve just not had a lot of time to process thoughts.

I will be revamping this site for a short period of time while I use it for a class project. It should only last a week or so while my professors evaluate and grade.

Like I said, the Spring semester is coming to a close as of May 4th. It’s bittersweet this time around as I’ll actually be departing classes I have made friends in. Donovan will be graduating and Sarah and I won’t have classes together anymore. I’ll be taking 3 classes total this summer and 4 in the Fall.

Joshua and I started playing tennis this past weekend. We really enjoy it and plan to play a few games this weekend. We’re also going to hit up a yard sale type thing in Broadripple and check out their Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning. I must say not working on the weekends is the bee’s knees. It’s nice to have time to enjoy life.

I’ll soon be gathering a list of books I plan on reading this summer (movies too). If you have any suggestions of really GREAT books that I won’t be able to put down, please leave some feedback. I’ll probably be trying to knock some of my book list out too.

That is all for now. I must get ready for my second day at work.

Peace, love and pizza.
