Hello what faithful readers are left. I know I’ve been very absent and for that I am regretful. I’ve been very busy with the semester coming to a close in the next couple of weeks, with new sports Joshua and I have taken a liking too and with the quitting and slow start of my new job. I’ve just not had a lot of time to process thoughts.

I will be revamping this site for a short period of time while I use it for a class project. It should only last a week or so while my professors evaluate and grade.

Like I said, the Spring semester is coming to a close as of May 4th. It’s bittersweet this time around as I’ll actually be departing classes I have made friends in. Donovan will be graduating and Sarah and I won’t have classes together anymore. I’ll be taking 3 classes total this summer and 4 in the Fall.

Joshua and I started playing tennis this past weekend. We really enjoy it and plan to play a few games this weekend. We’re also going to hit up a yard sale type thing in Broadripple and check out their Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning. I must say not working on the weekends is the bee’s knees. It’s nice to have time to enjoy life.

I’ll soon be gathering a list of books I plan on reading this summer (movies too). If you have any suggestions of really GREAT books that I won’t be able to put down, please leave some feedback. I’ll probably be trying to knock some of my book list out too.

That is all for now. I must get ready for my second day at work.

Peace, love and pizza.

What kind of books are you looking for? Fiction or non-fiction? What kind of fiction do you like and what kind of non-fiction are you interested in?

I like a variety of books. Right now I’m reading a book about the AT by Bill Bryson. It’s NF, about his journey on the AT. I didn’t think, initially it would be a book I would like, but he’s pretty funny and it’s a fairly quick read.

With fiction, I like anything that has a good story line, that reads quickly. As I was working at the library people suggested a lot of authors so I attend to try a book or 2 from some of the authors they suggested.

It’s really hard to put my finger on what exactly I like, so I know I haven’t really answered the question.

Don’t worry..I will still stalk and bother you. I can’t not do that…

I mentioned the books Twentysomeone earlier. I just “re-bought” it and plan on reading it once final projects pass. I also picked up Twentysomething. This one just gives me the impression of something a little more preachy. Though I like Bebo Norman’s music most christian artists turned authors/collaborators make me skeptical.

If you’re interested in some young adult fiction I read the first 2 books of the Monster Blood Tattoo series last summer. I enjoyed them from a weird/odd fantasy standpoint.

As always there is the phenomenal LotR series. Start at the beginning with The Silmarillion, The Hobbit and finish strong with LotR. You can even watch the movies along with the book if you’re so inclined.

One that I would recommend that I am actually re-reading myself is The Four Agreements. I liked it enough the first time that I blogged about it. Some of it is kind of repetitive and a bit New Age-y, but the ideas it presents are really good tools for life. The guy that wrote it has also written a few other books that are in the same vein that I own and hope to read this summer as well.
