About Isha

I find it a difficult task to contain the immense person that I am into a box in a well organized and timely fashion.

I am Aisha Drake, however people refer to me as Isha.

I try to live a life that is pleasing to God and the gospels of Jesus Christ. I am far from perfect and will never reach perfection, but I place my hope and trust in the message and love of Christ.

I’m in my early 20s, which means I’m still finding the direction I’m headed. I recently graduated from IUPUI with a degree in English-Creative Writing with a  beloved minor in religious studies. I’m currently working as a tutor/mentor and planning a wedding! I love learning about different cultures and their beliefs and rituals.

I have no set in stone plans for future career options. I love working with people and I have a heart for children. I intend to work in a setting that betters the lives of people, to what extent that will be is yet to be seen.

I care deeply about my family and friends. Each person in my life impacts  me as a person. I am constantly evolving and learning and I hope this process never stops.

The following prayer is one I try to say daily,  I try to strengthen myself in all of the the qualities mentioned.

Lord,
Make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

In Christ’s name, Amen.
